Project-Based Education
Every child begins in a different place, and we believe their education should reflect that. We use nationally norm-referenced assessments to understand where your child is starting, set personalized learning goals, and monitor progress throughout the year so they continue to grow with confidence.
With a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio, your child is known, supported, and encouraged every day. Smaller classes allow our teachers to provide personalized instruction, one-on-one support, and targeted "spot" tutoring. Every Oakmont student also receives additional tutoring at no extra cost.
Your child will learn by doing, not just by memorizing. Through collaborative projects, students solve real-world challenges while developing critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Along the way, they build the confidence and character needed to thrive in college, careers, and life.

Statement of Faith
We believe in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-14; Acts 5:3, 4). The Trinity helps us in life as we reflect on it. Elements of God in which we are lacking may be found in other believers and vice versa (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:6-8).
This conundrum can best be resolved in community (Proverbs 27:17), which is the Church (1 Corinthians 14:1-26; Matthew 18:20). Creation revelation, salvation revelation, and personal revelation help us have a more fulfilling life (Romans 1:20; John 14:6; Ephesians 1:17).
God created us, gave us free choice, and made a way out of sinful mistakes through Christ (Genesis 1-3; Ephesians 2:1-10). Holy Scriptures, the Spirit, and common sense are supposed to be used together to help discern the will of God (2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Corinthians 2:10; Proverbs).
One day, all things will be made new and totally redeemed from constant ruin (Romans 8; Revelation 21:5). Until then, we labor with Him, finding opportunities to restore people and nature to their best possible selves (Psalm 127:1; Ephesians 5:16).
A Day at Oakmont
Instead of following a traditional bell schedule, students move through four intentional learning modes designed to prepare them for learning, deepen their understanding, encourage meaningful collaboration, and bring knowledge to life through real-world application.
I) CONNECT MODE
Starting Every Day with Purpose
The school day begins by connecting with one another before diving into academics. Through prayer, a brief devotional, meaningful conversations, and community-building activities, students have the opportunity to share what's on their minds, celebrate successes, or simply settle into the day.
We know that children learn best when they feel seen, heard, and supported. That's why we've intentionally built time into each morning to strengthen relationships, encourage character, and prepare every student for a successful day of learning.
II) CONQUER MODE
Mastering the fundamentals
Every student learns differently, so we don't believe in one-size-fits-all instruction. During Conquer Mode, students work through personalized learning plans at a pace that challenges them without leaving them behind.
Teachers provide continuous guidance, encouragement, and one-on-one support while students build a strong foundation in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and other core subjects. The goal isn't simply to finish lessons. It's to achieve true mastery.
III) COLLABORATE MODE
Learning Together
Education isn't just about knowing the right answers. It's about learning to think, communicate, and work well with others.
During Collaborate Mode, students engage in discussions, debates, research, experiments, and team projects that challenge them to ask thoughtful questions and consider different perspectives.
Along the way, they develop confidence, leadership, and the interpersonal skills they'll use for the rest of their lives.
IV) CREATE MODE
Bringing Learning to Life
Some lessons are best learned by doing. During Create Mode, students reinforce what they've learned through hands-on projects, experiments, creative challenges, and real-world experiences.
Whether dissecting a specimen, preparing a recipe, designing a prototype, or exploring a new idea, students deepen their understanding by putting knowledge into practice. We believe learning becomes most meaningful when students don't just study concepts, they experience them.
